Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati is currently Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe has held several important Academic, Research and Administrative positions at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Tata Consulting Engineers, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) and IIT Guwahati. He also served as Director, College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) since 2006 on deputation from IIT, Guwahati prior to joining as AICTE Chairman. As an academician and researcher in NERIST and IIT Guwahati, and as an administrator in the capacity of Director, CoEP, he has taken up several new initiatives for Academic, Curricular & Co-curricular activities, Entrepreneurship, Research and Good Governance.

 

He is Chairman, Basic Scientific Research (BSR), Empowered Committee of UGC & SWAYAM Board. He is Fellow of ISTE, IET, Institution of Engineers (IE), INAE.

He has been bestowed with several awards which include "Maha-Intrapreneur Award-2011" of Praj Industries, Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar (Life Time Achievement Award) from MIT World Peace University, Pune in 2019, Mahatma Gandhi Leadership award from Indian Achievers Forum and CSR Times (2019).
 

Prof. M.P Poonia

Dr. M.P. Poonia is specialized in the field of Mechanical Engineering (IC Engines, Gas Dynamics, Ref. & AC), Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development. He is M.Tech (Thermal Engg.) and Ph.D (IC Engines) from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He possesses a vast experience of 30 years. He has published more than 90 research papers in National and International Journals & Conferences and published 10 books and developed 02 Lab Manuals. He has guided number of M.Tech and Ph.D dissertation. Dr. Poonia is the Member of ISTE & Society of Automotive Engineers.


Dr. MP Poonia is presently serving as Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education since 20th January, 2017. Prior to this, he remained as Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh for about 4½ years (since 20th July, 2012 to 18th January, 2017). Dr. Poonia is the recipient of Bharat Mata Award conferred by Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage (an International Institute of Oriental Studies and Research, Kolkata) on 16th August, 2014. On behalf of NITTTR, Chandigarh, he received National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities – 2013 by the Hon’ble President of India on 3rd December, 2013 in New Delhi in recognition of outstanding performance in the field of Best Institution for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in the country.

Prof. Rajive Kumar

Professor Rajive Kumar did his M E in Computer Technology and Application from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi and Ph D from I I T Delhi. After completing Ph D, he joined D C R University of Science & Technology, Haryana in the year 1990.

 

His areas of research interest are Mathematical Computing, Software Engineering and Image Processing. He has published number of research papers in national and international Journals and presented papers in India and abroad. He has visited several universities in USA, Canada, China and Malaysia.

Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, National Research Professor, has been the Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Chairman of National Innovation Foundation as also the President of Indian National Science Academy, Global Research Alliance and Institute of Chemical Engineers (UK).


In recognition of his pioneering research contributions in polymer science & Engineering, he has been honoured as a Fellow of Royal Society, Foreign Fellow of US National Academy of Science as also Engineering, Foreign Associate of American Academy of Arts and Science & Fellow of US National Academy of Inventors. 


42 universities from around the world have honoured him with honorary doctorates. The sixty plus awards won by him include the prestigious TWAS-Lenovo Science Prize, Business Week (USA) award of `Stars of Asia’ & JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award. 


Dr. Mashelkar, who was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister for over thirty years, has been honoured with Padmashri, Padmabhushan, and Padma Vibhushan, three of the highest civilian honours.

Dr.  Dipak C. Jain

Dr. Dipak Chand Jain is the European President and Professor of Marketing at CEIBS. Dr. Jain’s influential career spans four decades as an educator, a senior business school administrator, and a consultant to corporations and governments. Prior to being named Sasin’s Director in 2014, he served from 2011 to 2013 as Dean of INSEAD.

 

Before joining INSEAD, Dr. Jain was Dean of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management from 2001 to 2009. He earned his bachelor’s degree in statistics (1976) with Honors from Gauhati University, where he taught for four years before enrolling in the University of Texas (Dallas), where he completed his Ph.D in Marketing in 1986. Among the many distinctions for his teaching and service, Dr. Jain received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman from the Prime Minister of India, an award that recognizes exceptional leadership contributions of overseas Indians.

Dr.  Michael Keller

Vice Provost and University Librarian, Director of Academic Information Resources, Stanford University, USA

Dr. Keller began his appointment as Vice Provost in 2018. He is also the Ida M. Green University Librarian, director of Academic Information Resources, publisher of Stanford University Press, as well as the founder of HighWire Press. As an university librarian for the past 25 + years, Dr. Keller has been a national and international leader in transitioning university libraries to digital formats and an advocate for the digital sharing of information resources around the world. Dr. Keller designated the 2015 recipient of the Kenneth M. Cuthbertson Award for Exceptional Contributions to Stanford University. Currently, he is the Chairman of International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Consortium and Board of Directors, Council on Library and Information Resources, USA. He has been awarded honorary fellow for Life, Harris Manchester College at Oxford University

Dr.  M. G. Sreekumar

Director Library, Jio Institute; Former Chief Information Officer, IIM-Kozhikode (IIMK), India

Dr. Sreekumar is an adjunct professor in Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). He is also the Chief Information Officer of IIMK. He has lead the library and the learning resources team at IIMK to bag the first Wiley Award 2015 for IIM Kozhikode, for "Digitally Transformed Academic Library in India".

 

Dr. Sreekumar is the Chief Architect of the Indian Business Museum at IIMK which was inaugurated and dedicated to the nation, in 2013. He was awarded the prestigious Sir Ratan Tata Scholarship to Harvard University (Harvard Business School & Harvard South Asia Institute) for advanced research in Indian Business History. He is a fellow of the South Asia Institute of the Harvard University. He is a Fulbright Scholar (Library & Information Science) and did his fellowship at the University of Maryland and at the NIH, Bethesda (1996-97).

Dr. Palak Sheth

Dr. Palak Sheth is the Director (Planning & Development) in the President’s Office at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). He has played a pivotal role in establishing collaborations for PDPU with University of Tulsa, University of Oklahoma, University of Houston and Georgia Institute of Technology in USA; University of Regina and University of Saskatchewan in Canada; University of Wollongong, and Kangan Institute, Melbourne, Australia; respectively from 2007 to 2014. 


Prior to this, he played a vital role in conceptualizing and establishing Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) from scratch from 2003-2007. He has been instrumental in conceiving and establishing  the School of Petroleum Management, School of Petroleum Technology, School of Solar Energy, School of Liberal Studies and School of Technology at PDPU.

Tom Cramer

Associate University Librarian, Director of Digital Library Systems and Services & Chief Technology Strategist, Stanford Libraries, USA 

Tom Cramer is Stanford’s Associate University Librarian, Director of Digital Library Systems & Services, and Chief Technology Strategist.

 

He is the architect and originator of the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) and a leading figure in the development, deployment, and use of numerous digital library applications, including a suite of Blacklight services, all of which are open source.

 

Tom oversees the development and implementation of Stanford’s digital library services for digitization, discovery, delivery, preservation, and management of digital resources that support teaching, learning, and research. Tom directs the Stanford Digital Repository, the development of SearchWorks, and the Libraries' technical approach to its linked data infrastructure.

Sebastian Hammer

Co-founder and President, Index Data, USA


Sebastian is a cofounder of Index Data, a software company based in Denmark and the US and specializing in library software and community-centered innovation and product development. Sebastian has worked with library technology for 30 years, collaborating with libraries, consortias and service providers around the world. Index Data was a founding member of the FOLIO and ReShare communities and Sebastian served central roles in shaping both the technical designs and the community organizations for these international collaborations. In prior years, Sebastian has designed software tools that have been adopted by numerous projects and organizations worldwide. Sebastian believes that community ownership of technology is a critical tool for libraries as they work to shape their future in the face of a rapidly changing landscape.

Mike MacKinnon

Director of SaaS & Partner Management, Asia & Oceania, EBSCO Information Services, USA

Mike has been working in technology for more than 16 years, with 13 of those years in the library industry. He was an early team member of ProQuest’s Summon and Intota products, and an original contributor for Plum Analytics in the research analytics and engagement space.

 

For the past five years at EBSCO, he has worked with EBSCO’s SaaS (native and partner) services and currently focuses on EBSCO’s support of FOLIO, an Open Source community driven LSP. Consistent across all his roles, Mike has had the challenge to work with “new to market” services: Summon was the first single, centrally-indexed discovery tool to market; Plum Analytics was the first robust research impact measurement tool to include not just social media metrics, but usage, citation, news impacts, and more; and FOLIO is the first microservices ILS platform in the library industry.

Svein Arne Brygfjeld

Head of NB AI Lab, National Library of Norway, Norway

Svein has been working for the telecom industry, but is currently employed by the National Librarian's office in Norway. At the National Library of Norway, he has been managing a large number of projects, including several networked multimedia projects. As the project manager for the Norwegian digital radio archive project, he has been responsible for one of the ambitious initiatives at the National Library of Norway.

 

Since 1998 he has been responsible for research and innovation including driving the use of Artificial Intelligence at the National Library of Norway and its partners including Stanford Libraries. Svein holds a master's degree in computer science.

Dr. Paola Manoni

Head of Coordination of IT Services , Vatican Library, Vatican City

Dr. Manoni is the Head of Coordination of IT Services at the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana (BAV).Her research and work areas focus on metadata, digital libraries, interoperability protocols and long term preservation for cultural heritage. Paola is deeply involved in international standardization processes. She is the president of the UNI Technical Committee "Documentation and Information“. Paola represents the Vatican Library in many international initiatives such as the IIIF, the Virtual International Authority Files (VIAF) and the European RDA Interest Group (EURIG). She is one of the three members coordinating the IIIF Italian Community and is the relator of the upcoming Italian national standard NWI UNI 1605177 – Documentazione e Informazione, International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF).

Giridhar Kunkur

Librarian and Unit Chief, Publications & Media Relations  Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India

Giridhar Kunkur has over 39 years of rich experience in offering modern and customer-oriented library and information services. He is presently working as the Librarian at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and is known for effectively transforming the BITS library and  has  held the position of Chief of Publications and Media Relations Unit  in the Non institute. Under his leadership BITS Pilani Library has received Wiley’s “Digitally Transformed Academic Library 2019 Award under - Government Category. Prior to this, he was Head, Learning Resource Centre at Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Mumbai where he was instrumental in revamping and redesigning the library to go with the modern trends to increase the visibility and usage of the online and physical resources and awarded the ‘Customer Success Award’ for best practice through technology innovation by EBSCO in appreciation of demonstrated efforts to share successful initiatives with the community.

Dr. Hiral Patel

Deputy Librarian, Vikram Sarabhai Library, IIM Ahmedabad, India

Dr. Hiral Patel has a doctoral degree in Library and Information Science from the Kadi Vishwavidyalaya, Gandhinagar and the Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has received 'Gold Medal' in her M.L.I.Sc. degree from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has qualified UGC NET and SLET with the subject library and information science. 


She has over two decades of professional experience in academic libraries in Ahmedabad like Nirma University, CEPT, NID, British Library, and Behavioral Science Center - St. Xavier's College. She is currently working as Deputy Librarian at Vikram Sarabhai Library, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.


Her areas of professional interest are Legal Issues of Libraries, Library Design, Library Sevices, etc. She has 4 research papers on her credit published in International and National Journal and Conferences.

Michele Casalini

Managing Director, Casalini Libri, Italy

Michele is the Managing Director of Casalini Libri, a bibliographic agency, library supplier and digital aggregator. Following studies in Modern Languages and Literature, and working with a publishing company La Nuova Italia, he specialized in Information Technology and Management. He has been an active member in standardization processes such as the definition of EDIFACT for the book sector and the translation of RDA into Italian. Amongst his more recent interests are the digital transition and the current situation of HSS academic publishing. In particular, the potential risks of marginalization facing these subject areas, and analysis of collaborative measures that can contribute to preserving cultural heritage for the future. In May 2019, he accepted an honorary degree from the University of Florence celebrating his  contribution to the field of Library and Information Science, the very first bestowal of the honor in question for merit in modern librarianship by an Italian university.
 

Tiziana Possemato

Tiziana holds a degree in Philosophy (La Sapienza University of Rome), diplomas in Archival Science and Library Sciences (Vatican Schools) and a Masters degree in  Archival, Librarianship and Codicology (University of Florence). She is currently a Doctoral researcher in Library Sciences at the University of Florence with the project entitled Another Brick in the Wall: building bridges of knowledge in the digital age. Tiziana has led numerous projects for library automation, analysis, mapping and conversion of catalogue data, and the design of information retrieval systems, with a specific interest in Linked Open Data and the Semantic Web. She is the Chief Information Officer of Casalini Libri, and Partner and Director of @Cult.

With over 20 years in the publishing industry, Carola Blackwood has worked with academic institutions all over the world. Areas of expertise include Account Management, Training and Customer Onboarding, as well as Marketing and Technical Support. She has a degree from the University of Toronto in Business Administration and Marketing, with advanced studies in Linguistics. Originally from Frankfurt, Germany, Carola will conduct trainings in German and Dutch as well.
